Browsing the index

You can read every page of the index without an account. We do not set tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics scripts on this site. Our web server keeps standard access logs (requested URL, time, status, browser type and IP address) for security and capacity planning; these logs are rotated and are not combined with any enquiry you send.

When you send an enquiry

The “Request a quote”, “Contact” and “We buy IT hardware” forms send your message to our sales team at [email protected]. For each enquiry we store:

the details you type: name, email address, phone, company, country, quantity, preferred condition, message and the list of items you want to sell;
the product page the form was sent from, so we know which part number you are asking about;
any file you attach (CSV, XLSX, PDF or TXT, up to 5 MB), kept with the enquiry;
a salted SHA-256 hash of your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. The hash is used only to limit abuse (a small number of enquiries per hour per connection) and cannot be reversed into your IP address. Both values are deleted automatically after 180 days.

Enquiry records themselves are kept as business correspondence so we can answer follow-up questions and honour quotes. Email us if you want an enquiry, or an attachment, removed earlier.

Anti-spam checks

Forms include a hidden field that only automated scripts fill in, and a short-lived signed token issued when the page is rendered. Neither stores anything on your device. Cloudflare Turnstile is not currently enabled; if we turn it on, this page will say so.

Who receives your data

Prology sales staff in Australia and the United States, who answer your enquiry.
Our email provider, which delivers the enquiry to our mailbox.
When you accept a buyback quote, the courier we book to collect your equipment receives the pickup address and contact name you give us.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

“Buy on Prology AU/US” buttons take you to prology.net/au and prology.net/us. Those stores have their own accounts, cookies and privacy notice, shown on the store itself.

Your choices and rights

You may ask what we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete an enquiry and its attachments by emailing [email protected]. We answer within 1 business day. Australian residents are covered by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth); residents of US states with privacy laws have the rights those laws provide. We only collect what the forms show, and you can always email us instead of using a form.

Changes

If we change what we collect — for example by enabling Turnstile or analytics — we update this page and the “last updated” date above before the change takes effect.
